Description Sebastien Bacher 2007-04-24 09:55:57 UTC
The bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109523

"Binary package hint: evolution

When I start evolution on login (it's in my startup menu) the window opens and the first thing it does is "disconnect from Exchange server". The exchange server is the mmm.cern.ch microsoft exchange server. I have to wait (few minutes) until it is done and then click on the connection icon on the bottom left to reconnect. That then works.

If I don't wait and try to cancel the disconnection and reconnect it doesn't. The only way out then is evolution --force-shutdown and restart. Then evolution starts being already disconnected (judging from the icon) and I can reconnect.

This is new with 2.10.1. Previously I had whichever version was distributed with Edgy and I didn't get these problems.

Exchange doesn't support cancel operation.

Did you start in offline mode ? What happens when you start in online mode ?

Do you still face this issue in later versions 2.22.x or 2.24.x. Can you please try and report back, thanks.

the reporter is running 2.22 now and doesn't have the issue any more, closing the report, thanks all.
