GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 432532
Gnumeric strange colors (purple charts)
Last modified: 2007-04-28 07:24:14 UTC
I have ubuntu feisty 7.04 on an ibook G4 (ppc version). When i try to make a chart it appears purple. Same thing with the windows "About gnumeric". This is a screenshot http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6336/schermatave3.png I had the same problem with gnumeric 1.7.* with Gentoo on PPC. I use gnumeric 1.7.8
this is also reported on the ubuntu bug tracker, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnumeric/+bug/109204
Created attachment 87150 [details] [review] fixes the issue It was an issue related to endianness in cairo_to_pixbug. Apologies.
I've tried the ubuntu packages made by Sam Tygier that include this patch (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2541321) and it works ;-) Good job! Thank you :-)
Excellent! I hope we can come up with some kind of automated test that exercises code like this. (Obviously one would only get the little-endian or the big-endian version, but we could be set up to get early warnings for problems like this.)
If you need access to a powerpc or want test run in the future, then feel free to contact me.
