GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 42458
[Eazel Fixme]Error message when search service isn't running needs to include advice
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
There's a FIXME about this in nautilus-window-manage-views.c. When the search service isn't running, a dialog tells the user they can't use searching, but does not tell them why or what exactly they can do to fix the problem. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-09-12 09:38:14 ---- A full day is a strangely long estimate for this bug. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 18:59:28 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of Search Interface bugs to Josh Barrow. ------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2000-12-15 09:32:23 ---- Batch move all 254 PR3 P5 bugs to 1.0.1. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:37 -------
Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
Closing this as search is not part of the functionality anymore.
Sorry for the SPAM, re-opening the old Search bugs and setting Rebeckas old email account at Eazel as maintainer.
Bug closed as proposed by Curtis C. Hovey, substitute maintainer of Medusa. Search service was pulled 18 months ago.
