Description David Prieto 2007-03-23 09:53:04 UTC
Murray Cumming wrote in his blog his views about gnome, some days ago(http://www.murrayc.com/blog/permalink/2007/03/21/my-gnome-of-the-future-people/).

Gimmie can help this come true, but just handling gain accounts is too limited for this. Handling vcards would be a much better solution since a vcard stores different fields. It lets you store personal information, several e-mail addresses, phone numbers and other ways to contact the person.

So, each person in People would be one vcard stored in your system. What do you think?

Gimmie is unmaintained and no work is going on anymore.

If you are interested in hacking on the codebase:
A fork named Mayanna exists at http://groups.google.com/group/mayanna

Closing all remaining Gimmie bugs as WONTFIX.
Please do not file new bugs against Gimmie.
Mayanna is the project you want to use and file your bugs against.
