Description Sebastien Bacher 2007-03-19 15:15:31 UTC
The bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/bugs/92248

"Binary package hint: evolution

If I click on an e-mail that has some person's signature in it, evolution will pop up a picture displaying their photo if there is one. This kills productivity, especially over a remote connection. Then, the evolution will not continue verifying (or showing) the message until I close their picture. This kills productivity, especially when there's more than one.

Evolution should display photos at the bottom near that check mark that says the message is authentic.

Screencast

Evolution 2.10.0, Feisty Fawn. The picture is awkwardly displayed in EOG. If somehow there is more than one, the next one displays after the first one is closed, bringing productivity to a halt.

Notice in the attachment that Evolution does not finish verifying or displaying the message until I've acknowledged what our sender looks like from the -ck mailing list."

hmmm, I don't remember this feature ever being written by mailer guys... you sure it isn't a plugin?
Comment 2 André Klapper 2007-03-29 16:39:16 UTC

Comment 3 C de-Avillez 2007-12-28 21:01:03 UTC
original reporter states all plugins were disabled, and still an image is shown.
Comment 4 André Klapper 2012-01-27 18:07:17 UTC
I still have no idea how to reproduce this and how that is triggered.
If there are steps please provide them...
