A video had just finished. I was watching it in fullscreen, hit "f" to exit fullscreen mode, and was about to click on the close button when it crashed. I had played several other videos through the afternoon without this happening.
Comment 2 Tim-Philipp Müller 2007-03-30 11:19:48 UTC
These look a bit suspicious, although I have no idea what they mean (shame also that bug-buddy doesn't show the last few messages in the log as well):

  beryl: Couldn't bind redirected window 0xe01b81 to texture
  beryl: pixmap 0x300017e can't be bound to texture

What's your gst-plugins-base version? You can check with:

 $ gst-inspect-0.10 xvimagesink | grep Version

Comment 3 Jose M. daLuz 2007-03-30 12:06:06 UTC
The beryl messages are pretty routine and have been appearing all the months I have had beryl installed. compiz generates the same messages.

$ gst-inspect-0.10 xvimagesink | grep Version
  Version:              0.10.12
Comment 4 Jose M. daLuz 2007-03-30 12:11:51 UTC
Also, this crash has not happened again since the original report though I have played at least a couple dozen videos since then. The above version of gst-plugins-base was installed 3/16 so it is the same version installed when the crash happened.
Comment 5 Tim-Philipp Müller 2007-05-04 11:49:13 UTC
I've seen this too with CVS, so confirming.

Happens occasionally when putting lots of videos in a totem playlist and going through the list (can't easily debug myself though because more often than this error what happens is that an xv port is opened while the other one isn't closed yet, which makes my desktop lock up completely).
Comment 6 Jose M. daLuz 2007-07-27 23:10:36 UTC
Is this still an open issue? I have not had it happen to me since the original bug report.

*** Bug 516030 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 8 Tim-Philipp Müller 2012-10-02 22:55:52 UTC
I haven't seen this for eternities either, and no new duplicates for years, so let's close it.
