What were you doing when the application crashed?
pressing the people button right after i installed python-libgmail

What version of Gimmie is this happening with?  It should be fixed in 0.2.5.  Can you try that out and let me know if the problem is still occuring for you?

i was using version 0.2.4 when this initially happend. i did try again with 0.2.5 when i got this email. this time time gimme did not crush immediately when pushed "people" button, but it did crush when i pushed "gmail" button in the next window.

As this was seen with 0.2.5 the last time:
Could you try the latest version of Gimmie or the svn version and see if this crash still happens?
