GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 419227
let 1024 bit set when DSA ssh key selected
Last modified: 2007-10-09 20:05:06 UTC
when we choose to create DSA ssh key Key Strength automatically should be set to 1024 bit. Other information: Instead it crashes saying that it cannot create 2048 bit DSA key
Committed. I also set the size chooser to be insensitive when DSA is selected. When RSA is reselected, the size is set back at 2048. 2007-04-24 Adam Schreiber <sadam@clemson.edu> * libseahorse/seahorse-ssh-operation.c: Escaping already provides single quotes to comment string * src/seahorse-ssh-generate.c: Choose 1024 bits when DSA is selected. Fixes bug #419227
Rock on :)

Silly question, if you may - if this bug was fixed in April, why is it still a problem with version 1.0.1 in Fedora 8 (Supposedly GNOME 2.20 that was recently released) ?
I'm not sure what Fedora's doing, but the version of Seahorse that should be present in a 2.20 release is just that 2.20. Version 1.0.1 was the last release of the stable branch for 2.18.x.
