I don't usually take too many pictures, so for me it would be enough it f-spot would copy imported files to ~/Photos/year/month.

Having them in ~/Photos/year/month/day just makes it cumbersome to navigate, although I can understand it may be useful for some people. Therefore, I would like to have some basic configurability in the import settings, which would let me save the files in year → month, or year → month → day.

This seems to be a duplicate of bug#329040 (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329040)

I am currently working on a patch.  It should be attached to 329040 by tonight (2007.02.27)
