Description freddie 2007-02-26 23:25:27 UTC
Give the option to have a button, next to minimise/maximise/close, to make the window "always on top", without the need to right-click on the title bar.

See the second entry at http://marnanel.livejournal.com/tag/pgo; this already exists (though it depends on new themes being written to take advantage of it).
Comment 2 Dotan Cohen 2007-02-27 07:12:04 UTC
I'm looking at the second entry, and I don't see any mention of the functionality. Are you referring to all the buttons on the window in the post dated 4/24/06? Referencing "the second entry" to a blog is like referencing the second vehicle at a stoplight: it's very likely to change by the time I get there.
Comment 3 Thomas Thurman 2007-02-27 13:13:21 UTC
Yes: http://marnanel.livejournal.com/834001.html

The six buttons Metacity supports are:

1) Pin on all workspaces
2) Always on top
3) Roll up
4) Minimise
5) Maximise
6) Close

But:
 * only 4, 5, and 6 are on by default; you have to enable the others explicitly
 * you need to be using a theme which contains the buttons in order to see them. Not all themes have been extended to contain the new buttons. Crux and Bright are examples of themes which have.
