Description Alexander van Loon 2007-02-25 20:42:05 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I noticed that when I use Compiz instead of Metacity, rotation doesn't work, if I try rotating when I'm using Compiz the display is distorted. Can anyone verify this? Is this GNOME's fault, or should I file a bug against Compiz for this?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Compiz, and use that instead of Metacity.
2. Try to rotate with the Screen Resolution dialog.
3. Notice a distorted screen.

Does this happen every time?

There is no metacity-specific code in the display capplet. Try with compiz or X.
