GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 411592
Incorrect msgid strings in the PO template
Last modified: 2007-02-27 20:05:54 UTC
I'm not sure if this is the right section to submit this bug, as I did not find any better suiting category, but anyway, here we go: The current translation template (HEAD for gnome 2.18) available at http://l10n.gnome.org/ present the following msgid mistakes: #: ../applets/brightness/brightness-applet.c:61 msgid "Power Manger Brightness Applet" msgstr "" -- it should be "Manager" (the second 'a' is missing) #: ../data/gnome-power-manager.schemas.in.h:24 msgid "" "If the laptop should be configured as if it is using an permanent external " "monitor" msgstr "" -- "a permanent" (the 'n' should be dropped) #: ../data/gnome-power-manager.schemas.in.h:5 msgid "Change the brightness to automatically using the ambient light sensors" msgstr "" #: ../data/gnome-power-manager.schemas.in.h:5 msgid "Change the brightness to automatically using the ambient light sensors" msgstr "" -- "to automatically use" instead of 'using'? Thanks.
2007-02-27 Richard Hughes <richard@hughsie.com> * applets/brightness/brightness-applet.c: * data/gnome-power-manager.schemas.in: Fix two trivial spelling typos to fix #411592 I'll do a proper review of the gconf keys descriptions after 2.18.0 is released. Thanks for opening this bug. Richard.
Richard, > I'll do a proper review of the gconf keys descriptions after 2.18.0 is > released. Thanks for opening this bug. I just wanted to mention that when you do this, my previous comment about the following gconf schema strings was wrong, it should have said: #: ../data/gnome-power-manager.schemas.in.h:5 msgid "Change the brightness to automatically using the ambient light sensors" msgstr "" #: ../data/gnome-power-manager.schemas.in.h:5 msgid "Change the brightness to automatically using the ambient light sensors" msgstr "" -- the "to" should probably not be there on both cases. Thanks.
