That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/bugs/86978

"Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I think that displaying a reduced version of the cover art beside the artist / album name would make it easier to recognise albums. Just like this:

Any chance to see it done?

Actually, having cover art in the artist selector could be unnecessary. But having it on the album selector would definitely be a plus.

is it possible to do as in itunes? that is to say albums grouped with a big image at the left?

I'd like to chime in. For example Amarok (at least in the 1.4 series) has had this for a looong time. If possible, I'd like to see this in rhythmbox as well.

Is it possible to do this via a plugin, or do you have to do major changes in the UI code to make this happen?

Is it even possible that any of the developers will have the opportunity/time, or even want to do this? Is it on a TODO list?
