With most of the HTML mails I have the same problem - font size is... tiny - it is hard to read, I have always to resize font of each message. I have set-up evolution to use my Gnome Theme fonts, so... my theme font is "Sans 8pt" while usually default font size is 10pt - maybe that's the reason?
