The design of the VPN configuration dialogues is not consistent because we have updated the openvpn design to use less screen real estate.

My major focus witht his patch is consolidating the gui for VPN configuration.  It isn't perfect but a start.

committed to 0.6.x and trunk, thanks.  I don't particularly like the "Required/Optional" tabs either, but for the moment it's better than what's there.  Perhaps push the Optional information to a separate modal dialog or a second step in the wizard/assistant thing?
