The meaning of the icon next to the current track being ripped is not very clear. Perhaps using a bold or italic font, or replacing the icon with media-record would be better?

What about:
playing = bold
ripping = italic

or if using icons:
playing = media-playback-start
ripping = media-record

Heh, sorry Luca.  If it's any consolation, I loved the new icons but sadly we're alone!
