GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 40304
"Meta Views" panel in Preferences is confusing
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Is Meta View really a term we want as part of our user interface? I don't think so. ------- Additional Comments From ramiro@fateware.com 2000-03-27 10:42:58 ---- I agree. It needs a better name. Marking assigned. ------- Additional Comments From ramiro@fateware.com 2000-04-12 15:33:32 ---- marking 1 hour ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-05-01 11:42:41 ---- The new term is "Sidebar Panels". Now that we have chosen it, we can just rename the Preferences panel. Or it can be called "Sidebar" and have some explanatory text about the list of panels and any other controls relating to the sidebar. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-05-26 11:18:24 ---- The only remaining aspect of this task now that Ramiro has expunged "meta views" is to add a sentence at the top of the page explaining what the checkboxes are for. Something like: "Choose which panels should appear in the sidebar." ------- Additional Comments From ramiro@fateware.com 2000-05-29 02:45:11 ---- This is now fixed. ------- Additional Comments From ramiro@fateware.com 2000-05-29 02:45:20 ---- This is now fixed. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-09-08 15:29:58 ---- Setting all bugs to P6 to start official bug-prioritization plan. Please don't set the priority to anything other than P6 unless you've got the gold seal of approval for doing so. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 19:35:19 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-02-18 20:40:11 ---- Verified that this panel is now called "Sidebar Panels". ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:44 -------
