Sent to Tango mailing list (tango-artists@lists.freedesktop.org) Someone has wisely suggested the face in Gnome Mines could do with some Tango love: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400386 The existing images (cool, sad, smile, win, worried) are attached to the bug report, proposed replacements will be gratefully received! Created attachment 99284 [details] tango-styled emotes for gnome-mines Easily feasible by mixing and tweaking some of the GNOME-icon-theme emotes ;)
Well that was easy! Now the legal bit: - Since these are part of the Gnome icon theme they are GPL? - Who should be added to the artists dialog in gnomine? Thanks Ulisse!
If no-one from Gnome games has any complaint I'll check these in tomorrow.
the icons are under GPL. The author of the emotes I used is my cousin Lapo Calamandrei, I think he could be the right person to include in the dialog, but since I made some changes, I guess I should take my responability too. Dunno, it's up to you; I don't the GPL license forces you to include the author.
whoops :P *I don't think the GPL license forces you to include the author.
Cool stuff :) Please do check it in.
This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
Reverted this change from the 2.20 branch as this will have broken the UI freeze...
I mixed up a Gnomine-theme a while ago (for personal use) made up by Gnome emotes and some modified/"tangofied" gnomine icons. I don't know if it's any use for you, but i'll share it to you anyways, for inspiration or whatever you like: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Improved+GNOMINE+icons?content=70896
