Description Vincent Untz 2007-01-21 17:12:06 UTC
Having a Software category displaying the kernel version number and the GNOME version number would be a useful addition, I believe.

The GNOME version number can be extracted from ${datadir}/gnome-about/gnome-version.xml
Comment 1 Vincent Untz 2007-01-21 17:12:35 UTC
Oh, and it should probably state the kernel name (not just the version) too :-)
Comment 2 Benoît Dejean 2007-01-21 17:49:05 UTC
kernel name/version : easy to do and POSIX.
gnome-version : easy to do

but blocked by freeze :/
Comment 3 Benoît Dejean 2007-06-29 18:22:07 UTC
r2065 adds kernel number/name.
Comment 4 Benoît Dejean 2007-07-06 07:13:03 UTC
Done in r2075.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
