GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 396431
Error from Sound Juicer
Last modified: 2007-01-15 09:27:51 UTC
Got the following error message when trying to burn a CD to MP3 format using Sound Juicer... Sound Juicer could not extract this CD. Reason: Internal GStreamer error: negotiation problem. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer .
What sound-juicer version? (You can find it in the Help => About dialog) What GStreamer version do you have installed / is it using? What's your mp3 profile like? (I don't think it ships one, does it?)
Sound Juicer 2.14.4 GStreamer version -- this confuses me.. when I look at synaptic there are many gstreamer things. Which one do you need? mp3 profile in Sound Juicer: audio/x-raw-int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! lame name=enc vbr=0 bitrate=196 ! id3v2mux Thank you! Phil Smith Duluth, GA
I think this is due to specifying an invalid bitrate with CBR mode, see bug #345212. The error message is a bit rubbish though, but I think that's been fixed since (in newer versions of gst-plugins-ugly). Please re-open if you still have this problem with up-to-date versions of sound-juicer and gst-plugins-ugly. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 345212 ***
