GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 388572
crashed when trying to copy track from a problematic CD
Last modified: 2008-05-26 13:07:18 UTC
That bug has been described on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/sound-juicer/+bug/75640 "I inserted a copy of Elemer Duka jr and his Solists from Budapest Play Filmhits and Other Classics at the Metropole Palace in Monte-Carlo and started ripping to .ogg (CD-quality with loss, 44100hz) . The first two tracks went by ok, then the third track went from ripping at 1.2x (2x CD-player) to 0.2x and freezing all resources of the computer (Pentium 366 Mhz, 192 MB RAM). Switched from SJ to Opera and back again a few times. Then I pressed Stop (to stop the ripping) and nothing happened. Pressed Alt+F2 to do an XKILL-command and shut down SJ. The computer then started doing some heavy work before SJ crashed. Not sure this bug is reproducable without this particular CD, by a Budapest-local classic band. http://librarian.launchpad.net/5387948/_usr_bin_sound-juicer.1000.crash Burnt CD crashed SJ, crash-file ..." Debug backtrace for the crash: 742 string = sanitize_path (track->album->artist); (gdb) p track->album $1 = (AlbumDetails *) 0x0 (gdb) bt
