GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 385366
OFX Import should import commodity values
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:18:42 UTC
When transferring transactions from an investement account the AqBanking Import and OFX import functions do not properly maintain the commodity value and as a result end up with some wild cash values or number of shares.
Created attachment 78266 [details] Proposed test case with dummy account ID# This is a privacy sanatized test case for an ofx ivestment transactions file. An addition upload will contain an ofxdump of this file.
Created attachment 78267 [details] a formatted OFXDUMP of the testcase in OpenOffice-Writer (ODT) format This is the output of the ofxdump utility of the test case ".ofx" file supplied earlier. It has been formatted for easier perusal.
Obviously this belongs to the discussion at http://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2006-December/019388.html . For anyone reading this: "Import OFX file" and "DirectConnect OFX import" are implemented quite differently in GnuCash. Indeed, as you have written in your email, for the "Import OFX file" improvement you have to modify ofx_proc_transaction_cb of gnc-ofx-import.c by retrieving data from libofx by its getter functions.
