GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 382914
Rendering artifacts on icon captions using unstable cairo
Last modified: 2006-12-06 08:56:45 UTC
I was trying the latest unstable cairo version (cairo-1.3.x) and I found this bug. Basically, using latest cairo there are some rendering artifacts in icons captions (on desktop, but also inside simple nautilus windows). Attached screenshots are better then words. Note that only nautilus seems affected by this issue, so I think this isn't a cairo issue and I'm reporing here.
Created attachment 77791 [details] Some icons on deskop using cairo stable (1.2.x, the one installed by jhbuild)
Created attachment 77792 [details] The same icons on desktop using cairo 1.3.x Note that: * text files seems ok (short caption?) * the top folder seems to have rendering issues only in the "shadow" * the bottom folder seems to have renderins issues on both "shadow" and foregroung (see the "ll" in cartella)
Forgot to mention before: this issue seems unrelated with recent new themable render modes for icons from JackTheDippep (see nautilus mailing list)
This is a cairo issue and is being discussed on the cairo list.
