Description maxx 2006-12-05 09:21:05 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Evolution mail retrieval hangs when pressing Send/Receive. If instead you only rely on automatic mail checking everything work fine.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Press Send/Receive repeatedly
2. Eventually (about 1 in 5 times) the Send/Receive dialog will hang (ie. the progress bars will not move)

Actual results:
The mail retrieval hangs

Expected results:
It should fetch new mail

Does this happen every time?
No. About 1 in 5 times.

Other information:
Automatic mail checking works without problems.

I have same problem.

When checking mails evo hangs, not every time but sometimes almost every time. Some days it dosn't hang that often.

Im using IMAP, but it hangs in different accounts sometime on IMAP some time on SMTP and even on SUN WAP accounts.

I'm not able to cancel the dialog box with "Cancel All" or on the indevidual accounts. Closing evo is not possible either.

I don't have any dumps or anything.

UI hangs for you, right ? Does it come to normal state after some time or no progress at all.

Can you please try in current stable 2.22.3 and provide gdb traces of hang, thanks. See http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#gdb-not-yet-running for details about how to do this
