GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 382205
The possiblity to change the spellchecker language in dialogs.
Last modified: 2014-10-13 18:31:17 UTC
When using the new firefox, I noticed how useful the possibility to choose the idiom of spellchecking in forms is. For instance, now I'm writing in gaim in spanish in one window, in english on another one and in portuguese in another one, and in italian on a fourth one. In firefox, I just choose the idiom. Why not doing the same in gnome? It doesn't need to be implemented as 'per-messagebox' basis, but having this option without leaving the session is surely useful.
Does Gtk+ support spell-checking? IIRC it's going to be merged from GtkSpell or something in the future. When it does, it may as well have an option to let one choose language in the context menu. Moving over.
See bug #383706 for adding support for spell checkers into the GTK+ stack.
