Description Maciej (Matthew) Piechotka 2006-12-04 00:15:13 UTC
I'd like to have a gnome-vfs fuse integration.
For example typing gmail:// gnome-vfs will look for a gmailfs, fuse.gmail etc. and possibly read parameters. It it found it gnome-vfs would mount in hidden dir and use. If not it will show that this uri is not supported.
Additional parameters would be read from for example --help.

I'd also like to see fuse more closely integrated with gnome-vfs. I often copy files to other computers over ssh and the way things are now, I can either create a Nautilus ssh volume or mount the remote directory with sshfs (part of FUSE). It would be great if Nautilus could recognize fuse-mounted volumes and add them to its sidebar.

Related bug, possibly a dup: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363332
Comment 2 Maciej (Matthew) Piechotka 2006-12-15 19:40:33 UTC
Not - I don't think so - but they are similar:
- 263332 is that gnome-vfs should reconise FUse mounts
- 282081 is that gnome-vfs could mount FUse(For example in .gnome-vfs/mounts/)

After migration to GIO/GVFS(which has something similar) it beacomes obsolete I guess. Please reopen bug if I am wrong.
