Description Volker Englisch 2006-11-28 06:04:28 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have multiple scheduled transactions to be entered in the register. When the Transaction Review window displays the transactions I sometimes copy/paste the number given by the bank to the transactions.
For example see the three transactions in this snapshot:
  http://kepler.englisch.us/~volker/G2_Testing/paste1.jpg
There are two transactions without a number and one with a number. I copied the number from the first transactions and paste it to the third transaction:
  http://kepler.englisch.us/~volker/G2_Testing/paste2.jpg
The buffer is correctly pasted to the number field. Now I click in the number field of the second transaction. The third transaction is saved and I am pasting the buffer content to the second transaction.
Instead of the number I copied to the buffer a date (probably the date of the last blank transaction) is pasted to the number field:
  http://kepler.englisch.us/~volker/G2_Testing/paste3.jpg
The content of the buffer got overwritten with this date.

Using the Edit --> Copy/Paste menus has the same effect.

Steps to reproduce:
See above

Actual results:
A date intead of the original buffer content is being copied to the number field.

Expected results:
The original buffer content should be copied to the number field.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I do not know if this is a register or a scheduled transaction problem. It is probably a register "feature" but I only noticed it because I am copy/pasting numbers to the scheduled transaction review window.

I am running GC 2.0.99 from svn r14786 on 2006-09-02.

I double-checked the behavior in the register but the copy/paste in the register is working correctly. At least in the double-line display mode I am using.

Obsolete on trunk, post-15399 (sx-cleanup branch merge). This special register should no longer exist to be exhibit a problem in.
