GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 375550
intltool-update -m complains about missing files
Last modified: 2006-11-16 15:35:47 UTC
Please describe the problem: gabor@gabor-laptop:~/beagle/po$ intltool-update -m The following files contain translations and are currently not in use. Please consider adding these to the POTFILES.in file, located in the po/ directory. Best/Best.cs Best/BestTray.cs Best/BestWindow.cs Best/best.desktop.in Tiles/TileDocs.cs Tiles/TileFolder.cs Tiles/TileImLog.cs Tiles/TileMailMessage.cs Tiles/TranslationHack.cs beagled/ThunderbirdQueryable/Contact.cs beagled/ThunderbirdQueryable/Mail.cs beagled/ThunderbirdQueryable/MoveMail.cs beagled/ThunderbirdQueryable/Nntp.cs beagled/ThunderbirdQueryable/Rss.cs If some of these files are left out on purpose then please add them to POTFILES.skip instead of POTFILES.in. A file 'missing' containing this list of left out files has been written in the current directory. Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
I wonder why this tool flags beagled/ThunderbirdQueryable/*.cs (which has no translatable strings) but doesn't flag *any* other source file under beagled. In any case, the files in Best/ and Tiles/ aren't built or even packaged in the tarball anymore, I'm not going to add them to POTFILES.skip. The right thing to do is to move them to the attic when we move to subversion. Until then, everyone gets pain.
Ah, the thunderbird backend has a GetString() method which tricks gettext. See bug 375555 for more info.
I've added the Thunderbird backend files to POTFILES.skip with a comment. The others are a WONTFIX until we get a real version control system. Thanks for the report.
