I see that ./configure --help only lists epiphany up to 2.14.
  --with-epiphany-version[=1.6|1.8|1.10|2.14]
                          Whether to use epiphany version 1.6 or 1.8 or 1.10
                          or 2.14 (default 1.6)

In fact, epiphany 2.16.1 (on ubuntu edgy) is not found.

$ ./configure --enable-epiphany-extension --prefix=/usr/local
[...]
checking which epiphany to use... no epiphany installed

Epiphany development files are installed. I also tried stating --with-epiphany-version=2.16, ignoring the obove help output.

Is Epiphany 2.16 supported?

Yes, but only in the cvs version.
