Remove the Quit item from file-roller's window and make Ctrl+W (close) exit the app (4.29 KB, patch)

Description Michael Ekstrand 2006-10-30 03:29:59 UTC
When I close the last archive in file-roller with Ctrl-W, I wind up with a blank file-roller window rather than completely closing the application. This is a violation of the HIG, as it states that single-document-interface apps should quit after their last document window is closed. But futher, completely closing was the "expected" behavior based on how the rest of GNOME feels, and that expectation wasn't followed through with for no apparent reason.

This is just a wishlist bug; the current behavior doesn't cause any particular problems, but an enhancement to make file-roller's behavior more standard would significantly enhance the pleasure of using the application.

Here is a simple patch that implements this request.
