i use the StarDict dictionary, and i want to build a lao language dictionary: as i know, Lao and thailand language is in same encode, but after my compiled, it can not diaplay correctly

Should be:
[ເອຍ][ໜຶ່ງມ], [ແຕ່ລະ], [ຄຳນຳໜ້າສັບທິ່ມີພຍັນຊນະຂື້ນ່ກ່ອນ] like this way, lao character

This is most probably missing fonts.

With Phetsarath OT font from ttf-lao package on Debian, the sample text renders well on my machine.
