I suggest we use a left side bar, because left sidebars do not get in the way and are never out of the users focus. this is ebcause the default behaviour is to scroll content to the right side.

We have a different theme since this bug was filed, assume it is fixed, though no idea if it really is. Please reopen if it still occurs (not that I am a designer).
