Description Vincent Ho 2006-10-14 08:21:50 UTC
In Debian, the patch to moz bz#296002 has been applied to xulrunner, which makes re-enabling the tabsmenu extension feasible.

I've forward-ported it to 2.16, listing tabsmenu in ALL_EXTENSIONS but not USEFUL_EXTENSIONS, so it won't be enabled by default.

Patch is attached, please review and apply to CVS, hopefully also for 2.16.2!

That mozilla patch was rejected upstream ("review-"), so I wouldn't recommend it; only debian adds it to its xulrunner. Also, when the time comes and that bug is fixed for real, upstream, the right fix would be to reimplement ephy_notebook_move_tab, not to put that into the extension.
That said, the code looks correct, so you might want to try to persuade the debian developers to include it just in their e-e.

This extension has been removed from svn trunk.
