What were you doing when the application crashed? adding my username/password to the Evolution Setup Assistant Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-10-02 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.16.0 Memory status: size: 272900096 vsize: 272900096 resident: 33366016 share: 17797120 rss: 33366016 rss_rlim: -1 CPU usage: start_time: 1160759744 rtime: 231 utime: 215 stime: 16 cutime:0 cstime: 0 timeout: 0 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 100 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution-2.8' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Could you please install some debugging packages [1] and reproduce the crash, if possible? Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the "details", now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here. Thanks! [1] debugging packages for evolution, evolution-data-server and gtkhtml, plus debugging packages for some basic GNOME libs. More details can be found here: http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/DistroSpecificInstructions
here is some more info. I am having some issues installing all of the dbg packages, so let me know if this helps. this occurs no matter which username or pw I give. The URL is public, so you might try it too. It crashes before telling me my user/password is invalid. Thanks Scott, nice stacktrace. Moving to product Evolution Exchange. Bug 314588 got a pretty similar stacktrace, with the exception of the last e2k_context_fba() call.

I have committed the fix for this. Looks like the action is not recognized and it was crashing. Committed revision 8357.
