Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.

Remark: FreeBSD's Gnome mailing list informed me, three or four people had the same problem. A workaround (but no solution) seems to be to downgrade to gnome-vfs 2.16.0 . I hope I was of some help. Uli.
This seems to be a FreeBSD specific issue and was repaired by FreeBSD's Gnome team. I will try to close this bug. Thanks to everybody, Uli.
