Please describe the problem:
Some of the accounts contain German umlauts äöü these are no longer displayed
properly.  I tried with LANG set to de_DE and leaving it empty still the same result I
have one account where I no longer can do any bookings.

Weird. Three hints:
* Provide an example file
* Provide steps to reproduce
* Open the data file in the editor, remove encoding="utf-8" in line 1, run GnuCash and retry the Import Druid, if this was a GnuCash 1.8 file and incorrect choices have been made.
