Description Vassilis Pandis 2006-09-27 15:05:14 UTC
Hello,

this is a bug reported by an Ubuntu user (http://launchpad.net/bugs/59580 ):

"The results window of the gnome-dictionary panel applet is very small. It should either be sized appropriately to bound the line breaks in the content, or the content's formatting (size, word wrap) should be altered appropriately."

This was reported against Gnome 2.14 . It appears that the situation is better in 2.16 but still the window could be a bit bigger. Thanks for taking a look into this.

the 2.14 behaviour was fixed in 2.16; unfortunately, for size constraints, I can't make the dialog grow past half the screen size (as you can see in the first attached screenshot).

as such, I have to mark it as WONTFIX, but if someone comes up with a better sizing algorithm taking care of the screen size constraints I'll gladly REOPEN the bug.
