Description Martin Ejdestig 2006-09-26 19:22:41 UTC
When opening a document with one page the close button in the side pane is insensitive.

(I also wonder a bit about no thumbnail being rendered... I guess it's intentional... but I don't see the harm in rendering it... another bug?)
Comment 1 Martin Ejdestig 2006-09-26 19:25:22 UTC
I mean, sure. Go ahead and hide the side pane when opening a document with only one page. But if one does enable it via the menu why shouldn't it function normally?
Comment 2 Nickolay V. Shmyrev 2006-10-01 10:06:25 UTC
This problem was discussed in bug 164755 btw. But I am ok to enable close button.

Fixed in HEAD, thanks a lot.
Comment 4 Martin Ejdestig 2006-10-01 10:53:26 UTC
This is with a one sided pdf file not postscript. The side pane is hidden when I open it even though I normally have it enabled. If I've enabled the side pane (ecplicitly via the menu in this case, since it is disabled automatically) I don't see why it shouldn't function normally if possible and it makes sense. (E.g. why not show a thumbnail even if there's just one page? If there's no index, sure, show thumbnails instead and make index in the drop down insensitive.)

Now, the automatic hiding (I think bclark decided this was good in the end?) would be OK if it wasn't remembered in ANY way. It seems to me like hidden becomes the default for new documents even though it was done automatically. Am I right?

"Mid-air collision!
 Mid-air collision detected!"

:) Great. New bug for the other stuff? Or what's you thoughts on that?
