Description Ross Burton 2006-09-26 19:04:03 UTC
[from http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=388343]

the file selector dialog always starts at $HOME, even when selecting the
2/3 files for a comparison. These most likely reside in the same
directory, it's pretty annoying to have to walk the whole path each
time. Kdiff3 for example starts where you left the last time, which
makes very much sense IMO.

Yep, the fileselector code is poor. See also Bug 316446
