GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 357169
Text output in terminal shouldn't be announced if gnome-terminal is not focused.
Last modified: 2006-10-16 19:02:31 UTC
Please describe the problem: When in a terminal window a verbose process is running and We are working in another application (not focusing the terminal). Orca should not read the output information from the terminal window. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a terminal window (gnome-terminal) 2. Start a verbose process (E.G. compiling the kernel). 3. Leave the terminal window and give focus to another app. Actual results: The output from terminal is spoken even if the terminal is not focused. Expected results: While we are working in another application this output shouldn't be spoken. Or perhaps to have the choice of speaking or not speaking it. Does this happen every time?
