Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-09-20 09:30:20 UTC
That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-tools/+bug/61367

"As summary says, disks admin shows SD card as a hard drive. Why not display "Memory Card reader" for example, and show an SD card icon?"
Comment 1 Malcolm Parsons 2006-09-26 19:31:35 UTC
Happens with all USB storage devices.
HAL knows what type the devices are.
Does disks admin not use HAL?
Comment 2 Carlos Garcia Campos 2006-09-26 20:51:50 UTC
disks-admin is not maintained right now and current implementation doesn't use HAL. However we have planned to write a new version based on new gst architecture which will use HAL.
Comment 3 Carlos Garnacho 2008-01-07 23:58:45 UTC
Mass closing of remaining disks-admin and boot-admin bugs, sorry for the spam. Both tools are bitrotting, and no development is likely to happen on them.
