forwarding Debian bug #388094 ( confirmed here too for both 2.14 and 2.16 versions )

~~~
Hi,
normally i delete all default hotkeys for my gnome desktop, after i done
this the volume-control-applet show me two Hotkeys in the context menu
CTRL - T for mute
CTRL - O for open mixer
the two just don't work (i tested it with focus or not.. )
~~~

In my opinion the "mute" key should be handled via the multimedia keys, while I'm not sure if "open volume control" is useful or not!

They only work when the applet has focus (I tested it, and they work). They are not desktop-wide. This is mostly for people with keyboard-access, it's not otherwise useful.
