Description Søren Boll Overgaard 2006-09-18 18:33:43 UTC
A Debian user reported the following:

--- 8< ---

When I start pan I get a brief view of the main window which
disappears quickly due to a segfault. I'm running pan via ssh -X from
a powerpc machine and an i386 X server. pan works fine directly from
the i386 server.

A complete backtrace is available at http://bugs.debian.org/388116

This isn't a Pan problem.

I'm not sure where you should refile this issue, but cairo might be a good starting point since that's where the last step in the backtrace is.
Marking as `notgnome' since cairo isn't in gnome's bugzilla.

Some suggestions:

(1) the reporter might check to see if any other gtk applications also crash.

(2) debugging symbols for cairo/pango/gtk/pan wouldn't hurt either,
so installing debuginfo versions of those would be a good idea.

This is https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7953 and not a bug in pan.
