Description Gawain Lynch 2006-09-07 23:18:39 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Using GnuCash 2.0.1 when I try to create a "Frequency: Once" scheduled
transaction on a date is in the future I get the message:

"You have tried to create a Scheduled Transaction which will never run.
Do you really want to do this?"

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Scheduled Transaction Editor
2. Create a scheduled transaction as normal
3. Set frequency to "Once"
4. Click "OK"

Actual results:
The date set in "Start Date" is not highlighted in the calendar and the message "You have tried to create a Scheduled Transaction which will never run.
Do you really want to do this?" is emitted.

Expected results:
The date shown in the calendar, and transaction scheduled and if requested, created at the appropriate time.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
The following output is shown on the console:

(gnucash:26789): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_strftime: assertion `g_date_valid (d)' failed

Also in the example I tried for this report, the transaction was scheduled for 21 September but in the summary window is shows that the next occurrence is 7 October. This is not always the case with different transactions I have tried, some do not have a date in the "Next Occurrence" field.

Which date exactly did you enter? And did you enter the date as text or select it in the calendar widget? This might be due to month/day confusion, so which locale are you in?
Comment 2 Gawain Lynch 2006-09-11 10:34:53 UTC
The date was 21 September 2006. I tried entering the date directly and via the calendar widget.

My locale is en_AU, i.e. dd/mm/yy

I can confirm this bug in local en_CA. The OP includes the same details that I have.
