I just filed bug #352716 which seems to be the same thing. I also got this crash in the panel after closing its preference window. This seems to be more tied to GnomeVFS than Terminal, Evolution or Panel...

at least not gnome-terminal, looks more like a libgnomeui/file-chooser issue to me. (garr... why can't i move this?) bug 352728 looks like another dup to me.
can someone please move this to libgnomeui\file-chooser? i always get an empty "Verify New Product Details..." page with no component options in it, no idea why. :-(

does this qualify for a blocker?
i second brent here. afaik federico (and kristian) are working out file-chooser issues currently, would be nice to get a short status update here though. federico? :-/

This bug is Blocker bcoz user cannot configure 'Exchange' account in 'Evolution 2.8'. Evolution crashes always.

Frederico, what is the status of this bug? Is a resolution nearing?
Isn't this the wrong product selected atm? Sounds like gtk+/gnome-vfs, not libgnomeui. Sorry if this has no important relevance here.
No, I believe it is set to the right component. smitten@home:/extra/cvs/checkout$ find . -name 'gtkfilesystemgnomevfs.c' ./libgnomeui/file-chooser/gtkfilesystemgnomevfs.c This seems to be fixed by the recent commit to libgnomeui. Kristian, can you confirm? 2006-09-02 Kristian Rietveld <kris@imendio.com> * file-chooser/gtkfilesystemgnomevfs.c (gtk_file_system_gnome_vfs_dispose), (queue_vfs_idle_callback), (gtk_file_system_gnome_vfs_init), (handle_cancel_operation_fn): remove pending execute_vfs_callbacks_idle and pending vfs async handles during dispose, execute all idle callbacks waiting to be run in the next idle, (gtk_file_system_gnome_vfs_get_folder), (gtk_file_system_gnome_vfs_cancel_operation), (gtk_file_systel_gnome_vfs_volume_mount), (execute_vfs_callbacks_idle), (queue_vfs_idle_callback): refactor to maintain a list of idle callbacks to call per file system instead of globally, guard the file system during callback invocation, (get_folder_file_info_callback), (get_file_info_callback), (create_folder_progress_cb): guard the file system during callback invocation, (gtk_file_folder_gnome_vfs_get_info): set GError if uri doesn't exist in the folder.
This kind of stack traces should be gone after that commit yes; I haven't got any crash like that since I committed these changes ...
Updated libgnomeui today in my machine and tried scenarios where I was observing this crash consitently. Crash is not reproducible, so it looks like bug is fixed. KMaraas: Could you also verify and update bugzilla accordingly.
Confirming... I don't see random crashes anymore on my HEAD box.
Fixed in CVS. The fix will go into the next patch release. Thank you for your bug report.
