Description Danielle Madeley 2006-08-19 05:53:50 UTC
It turns out that this uses the current text selection as the search text for Deskbar. It could probably be worded a little more clearly.

Be aware that string freeze is in effect.

Sending an email to i18n to request a better string and notifying of the change
Comment 2 Clytie Siddall 2006-08-24 07:26:14 UTC
How about:

"Shortcut uses selection for search"

?
Comment 3 Danielle Madeley 2006-08-24 09:17:25 UTC
"Automatically search the currently selected text" ?
Comment 4 Raphael Slinckx 2006-08-24 11:51:08 UTC
Ryan Rousseau Suggested by mail:

Search for selected text when the shortcut is triggered
or
Run query on selected text when the shortcut is triggered
Comment 5 Raphael Slinckx 2006-08-29 14:41:02 UTC
I fear that 'currently' is a bit confusing since the text searched for is not the text 'currently' selected, but selected when the user trigger the shortcut.

What about:
Automatically search the selected text on shortcut activation
                                       when shortcut is activated

I have translated this like it were:

Search for the selected text when pressing the shortcut

How about this?
