Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-08-12 10:13:20 UTC
That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/56065

"Dapper, all up to date.

All the directories included in the archive have their original create, modify and acces time-stamps replaced with current time of when archive is created, no matter what archive type. This is wrong - original time stamps should be preserved when possible. This the default when creating archives from CLI with tar/gz/bz2/7z/zip."

note also when extracted, the files all have the extraction date as modified date... not sure if this is by design?

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use file-roller and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/file-roller/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (volunteer workforce and time is limited).
