Created attachment 75865 [details] [review] Tryout patch
Can any one who is continuously/randomly facing this crash with specific a mail or so, try out this patch? If this works I can push this for 2.9.2
srini, if your patch does not have any side effects, why not just getting it in and let the users *try* out if they still get this crash? i'm not a fan of the "can somebody please patch around and recompile" policy. get it in and let the masses try it out. :-)
FWIW, since this crash randomly happens and nobody found an easy way to reproduce, I believe it's better to commit the patch and see if there are still crashes after 2.9.2.

this patch appears to work a treat :) before evolution would die every 2/5 runs, now it refuses to die. thanks.
