Description codenexus 2006-08-06 23:24:25 UTC
Installing the latest Gstreamer is hard on possibly the largest distrobution around. It would be greatly appreciated by many if ubuntu packages could be clearly identified and regularly released as it seems to be for other distrobutions.

I am a fedora user, no idea why this is assigned to me.

However I agree, want to become our ubuntu package maintainer ?

I would love to, however I would be rubbish at it. I will have a look around for someone. As I am helping out at a program (Jokosher) that requires the latest versions for Gstreamer I will post on the dev list there and see if anyone can help out.

Sadly I don't know the first thing about packaging for a specific distro. Maybe if nobody else can be found I might have to learn.

Because all bugs in the 'packages' component get assigned to you automatically by bugzilla? :)

Would indeed be nice to have this.
