Description Nelson Benitez 2006-08-06 20:48:13 UTC
Hi,
when deleting files from an archive I have to:
1) select the files
2) hit Del button (Delete dialog appears)
3) Take the mouse and click on Ok button

I would like to also just hit Enter in 3) to delete the files, as it's quicker than taking the mouse again.

Putting the main action button in focus is definately a good idea, I'm not sure but it might already be recommended by the Human Interface Guidelines (HIG). You also made the effort to provide a patch so I think I can safely confirm this and bump the priority up a bit.

To address your underying problem - deleting quickly and smoothly using the keyboard - it would be a good idea for File Roller to copy Nautilus and allow users to delete directly without confirmation by using Shift+Delete.

patch applied to CVS, thanks.
